With this certification, which currently only 10% of AWS partners hold, the consultancy firm joins the select group of associates that help clients around the world to manage workloads and applications in their public cloud environments.

Opentrends, the technology consultancy firm specialized in digital transformation solutions, announced today that it has achieved the Advanced Partner status of Amazon Web Services (AWS), which means a recognition for its experience in services on this public cloud platform.

After 10 years of collaboration in Spain and more than 4 as an oficial partner, Opentrends further strengthens its relationship with Amazon by joining the select group of Advanced category partners, a status currently hold by only 10% of the more than 100,000 partners that AWS has worldwide. At present, the consultancy firm has 24 certifications and 25 technical and commercial accreditations, which make it one of the reference specialists in our country.

Nowadays, AWS is one of the world's leading providers of Infrastructures as a Service (IaaS) in the public cloud”, states Juan José Giménez, CEO of Opentrends. “Achieving the Advanced level is a huge source of pride for us, since we have invested heavily to become a key player in helping companies and administrations of all types and sizes in their digital transformation processes, using cutting-edge technologies and first-rate services”.

AWS has different levels of partnership that recognize those organizations that have proven their technical and business skills, as well as their project experience. To access the Advanced level, Opentrends had to meet the rigorous requirements set by the manufacturer, certifying the existence of a specific business plan and resources devoted to projects with AWS. In addition, the company had to prove its compliance with a series of specific standards in terms of training, accreditation and certification, besides the creation of a minimum pipeline of new business opportunities and income.

Specifically, projects like the following have been accredited from Opentrends: Stop Covid app, which was developed by the consultancy firm immediately after the emergence of the pandemic; the management platform for the Barcelona Low Emissions Zone; or the migration to the cloud of Fira de Barcelona, venue for international events such as the Mobile World Congress.

Thanks to this new level of partnership with AWS, we are now able to support our customers with greater access to resources and training, as well as to flexible financing options”, explains Juan José Giménez. "On our part, we will continue to work on training our teams and improving our portfolio to provide them with the maximum value in their digital transformation".

The new level of partnership with AWS reinforces the status of Opentrends as a Solution Provider, and allows the company access to new AWS skills considered in the sector as a quality label in terms of experience and ability to undertake large-scale projects.
