Virtual Assistant with AI for Pre-University Assistance
Challenge
To offer a new pre-university communication channel through social networks and automate communication through a conversational chatbot with its own personality and identity. The language used by the bot had to be approachable and familiar.
Solution
An MVP with which 2 new communication channels have been established with pre-university students: a webchat on the university channel's website and a chatbot on Telegram. The bot has been named "Paubot".
Paubot has been built with an identity-based and approachable language that allows quick access to university information through natural and humanized conversations, with the ability to hold conversations in Catalan.

Results
In times of Covid-19, where in-person consultations are challenging, Paubot has facilitated:
- Access to university information during the virtual edition of the Education and Future fairs of Catalonia.
- Conversations with more than 1,300 students who have exchanged over 37,000 messages via Telegram and WebChat.
